Nature's greatest wonder.
The Grand Canyon was made for helicopter tours. Only a helicopter can fly below the rim - a privilege granted to specific operators in the West Rim and South Rim corridors - giving passengers a true sense of the canyon's mile-deep scale. Tours typically depart from Las Vegas, Boulder City or Tusayan (just outside the South Rim) and combine flight time with a champagne landing on the canyon floor, a Skywalk visit or a Colorado River pontoon ride. The West Rim is closer to Vegas and home to the Hualapai tribal lands; the South Rim offers the classic 277-mile vista made famous by every nature documentary. Either way, a helicopter tour is widely regarded as the single best way to experience the canyon in one day.
